Curated: Christina Cruz x Estelle.
Welcome Back to our Curated x Estelle. series, where we feature our favorite designers, tastemakers and influencers of all things art and life.
Meet Christina Cruz, the founder and creative force behind Christina Cruz Interiors. Her design sensibility was shaped early on during trips to Mexico with her father, a designer, and inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit of her mother. That blend of artistry and ambition continues to define her work today. After a 16-year career as a digital media executive, Christina transitioned her sharp eye for detail and client-first mindset into the world of interiors. The result is a practice that marries corporate precision with soulful creativity, offering clients a process that feels both refined and personal.  Every project is approached with aligning emotion and energy to a space, layered with timeless materials, global influences, and pieces that carry meaning. Her designs reflect a language of understated luxury and emotional connection, crafting spaces that honor the unique stories of their inhabitants.

Estelle.: When you’re placing art in a space, what do you look for first—scale, mood, or conversation with the room?

Christina: When placing art I always start with the mood and emotion the space is giving off. How can the art shape the emotion or enhance it. From there we focus on conversation starting pieces with depth and texture.

E.: What’s one simple rule you share with clients who want to start collecting now?

C: Invest in art that stirs emotion, pieces that draw you in with their story and infuse the room with soul and color.

E.: Lets chat materials! What are the materials, palettes, or textures you’re drawn to this season—and why does it plays well with art?

C: This season I’m especially drawn to fiber art and ceramics. There’s something about the tactile quality of woven fibers and the hand-worked nature of clay that feels grounding and soulful. Fiber art brings softness and movement to a wall, while ceramics add sculptural weight and organic form. I love how both mediums create dialogue with other artworks, layering in texture, warmth while playing into other art mediums.
