We are Estelle.

Our story is built around the legacy of a passionate curator. She was a pioneer who broke barriers by becoming one of the first woman in the south to open her own art gallery in the early 1970s, a time when it was difficult for a woman to do so. She revolutionized the art industry in Texas and beyond by investing in emerging artists and creating a secondary art resale market out of that very gallery.

A trailblazer, she disrupted the elitist norms of the art world, guiding the gallery with the conviction that all art was created equal. Upon discovering she was not the only member of her family to share in this passion, she brought on her daughter-in-law, Janice, to continue the gallery’s legacy. Her daughter-in-law would gain 30 years of experience at the gallery and beyond. Together, their unwavering efforts would grow to showcase emerging artists, propelling them to eventual acclaim. As the gallery continued to evolve, it remained rooted in one woman’s belief that everyone should be able to share and relish in the beauty art brings into this world.

Her name was Estelle.

Today, her granddaughter and our founder, Alexa, continues the legacy.

Now, the embodiment of her vision is reflected in ours. At Estelle., we are dedicated to highlighting emerging artists and cultivating a secondary art market, mirroring the innovative spirit of Estelle herself. Centered on original contemporary art, our mission is to render art both accessible and investable for the younger generation. Art is a community, and with a commitment to the well-being of our community in mind, we contribute a portion of net sales to mental health organizations. In the way Estelle has been our guiding light, we aspire to function as an educational resource, demystifying the often daunting process of art buying and honoring the beautiful way that art is the great unifier of us all.

What Makes Us Different

Curation for personalization.
We operate under a curated non-auction house model which gives our collectors a place to sell their work that prioritizes a more personal transaction experience.
Giving back is our principle.
We know creativity emanates from all parts of the human experience. The weight of beauty is rarely known without the weight of struggle, and we strive to honor this reality by dedicating a portion of our net sales to support mental health organizations.
Art as an investment.
We view art as an investment both through the support of new and emerging artists as well as the ability to access private collections of veteran curators.
